Golden Retriever

 Golden Retrievers are one of the most popular and beloved breeds.  They are  reliable, intelligent, loyal, and gentle.  They love attention, are friendly to strangers, and are wonderful around children.  They are one of the best family-oriented purebred dogs.  They are considered a large breed with hair on the long side, ranging in color from blonde to a deep red.  They stand approximately 21" to 24" at the withers and generally range in weight from 60-85 lbs.

 Standard Poodle

 The Standard Poodle is very active and intelligent.  They do not shed and are hypoallergenic.  They are wonderful with children and make very good family companions.  They come in a wide variety of colors.   The Standard Poodle is at least 15" tall from the highest point of the shoulder most range from 22" to 27" thier weight will vary greatly depending on their height.  They tend to be lean and long-legged.


 Goldendoodles are hybrids of the Golden Retriever and the Poodle.  As a cross breed, they are expected to grow heathier and live longer than either parent line.  Goldendoodles are a wonderfully obedient family companion.  Their intelligence and eagerness to please make them very easy to train.  They learn very quickly and are highly social.  They are devoted to their family, but are everyone's friend.  They are friendly towards children, other dogs and pets, and easy with strangers.  They are social dogs, happiest when with people.  The Goldendoodles are likely to get into mischief and develop behavior problems if they spend most of their lives alone.  The coat of the Goldendoodle will vary from wavy to curly, based on their inherited genes.  They are typically light to non-shedding making them an excellent choice for people with allergies.  They differ in color based on the parents,  and it is possible to see varying colors within the same litter.  The Goldendoodle is a loving and loyal dog that loves to please its owners.

F1 = Golden Retriever and a Poodle

Coat = Coat grows to a natural body length of 3-5 inches which requires combing and occasional grooming. Coats are usually wavy or curly, with a rare shorter hair coat.

Shedding = Low -Non shed

F1b = Goldendoodle bred back to a Poodle or Retriever

Coat = Coat continues to grow in length although similar in appearance to a F1 coats are wavy or curly

Shedding = Low-Non shed when F1 Goldendoodle is bred back to a poodle.
